Steve is the Owner and President of Sunbelt Business Brokers / Mergers & Acquisitions, Northern Ontario. Steve is a licensed Business Broker in Ontario and has approximately 20 years of experience providing private and public companies merger & acquisition, corporate finance and investment banking services. Prior to joining Sunbelt, Steve was Vice President, Investment Banking for a number of independent and global investment banks serving corporate clients across a broad spectrum of industries.

Steve has achieved Merger & Acquisition Master Intermediary (M&AMI) certification, a designation earned through continuous educational credits and significant work experience in the M&A field through ongoing participation and the successful completion of multiple middle-market transactions. Steve is a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) – a global designation earned through the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) for professionals engaged in business brokerage and mergers & acquisitions. Steve is also a Certified Machinery & Equipment Appraiser (CMEA) and earned a Bachelor of Commerce, Finance (Honours) from the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University. Current professional affiliations include: M&A Source, International Business Brokers Association, NEBB Institute, Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO), and Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA). Steve is based in Sudbury where he lives with his wife and two children.

Tyler joined the Sunbelt team in 2016 after graduating with honors from Laurentian University’s Bachelor of Commerce program, specializing in Finance. Tyler was initially responsible for performing business valuations, conducting industry research, and preparing and managing marketing documents for our engagements. As Tyler’s knowledge of the industry grew, his interest in business brokerage became a passion, and led Tyler to become a licensed business broker in October of 2018. Tyler is a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) – a global designation earned through the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) for professionals engaged in business brokerage and mergers & acquisitions. Allana holds an undergraduate degree in Business Management, Masters in Public Management along with Graduate Certificates in Management Consulting and Business Analytics. She moved from Mississauga to Sudbury to spend more time outdoors with her husband and four boys.

Greg Kells is an international entrepreneur with extensive business development, marketing, and management experience. Mr. Kells has served as President or Chairman of corporations in various industries including advanced technology, manufacturing, consulting, training, tourism, real estate development, business appraisal, television production and laboratories. In addition to being a Certified Business Intermediary; Greg holds the designations of Life Member of the Institute of Business Appraisers, Certified Machinery and Equipment Appraiser, Certified Senior Business Analyst, and Registered Real Estate and Business Broker. He has been a guest lecturer at Harvard, Yale, and Duke Universities as well as at numerous Canadian Colleges. He enjoys mentoring and is involved in teaching at Sunbelt and for the International Business Brokers Association. Greg is the supportive husband to contemporary artist Gayle Kells and is the proud father of three children. He is involved in his community on various levels including being the Chair of the Canadian Institute of Nature and the founding Chair of the Canadian Institute for Conflict Resolution. He has been a candidate for leadership of Ontario and is active in numerous community organizations.

He was so intrigued by Sunbelt and its global network of over 300 independently owned business brokerage offices that he decided to open his own office. Barry has his CMA (Certified Management Accountant) and CBI (Certified Business Intermediary) professional designations as well as his real estate broker designation. Barry has over 25 years of experience working with small, medium and large sized businesses. Experience which includes new business start-ups, acquisitions, mergers and reorganizations as well as providing business management and advisory services covering a wide range of business issues. He is now putting this experience to work by helping current business owners successfully sell their business to the right buyer and helping buyers acquire the right business.
